Request for azurerm_virtual_machine_data_disk_attachment resource

What resource do you need?

Terraform Resource Name:
azurerm_virtual_machine_data_disk_attachment

What is your use case?

While azurerm_virtual_machine resources are no longer being developed, in favor of azurerm_linux_virtual_machine and azurerm_windows_virtual_machine, there is still a need for azurerm_virtual_machine_data_disk_attachment. As described here, it is the only way to attach a data disk to a *_linux or *_windows vm.
