@hfossli Thank you for the contribution! I think we are fine with current logo, though. If you want to contribute to design, you are welcome, but, please, keep current logo. Best, |
Hey Daniel. No problem. Just wanted to help. I think the current logo looks unprofessional. The glow effect is not a good choice. The shape is off as well. |
@hfossli And I really appreciate your help. You are very welcome. Still, we are trying to maintain some common style. I think there is a lot of place for improvement, but I would like to keep it coordinated. I will appreciate a lot if we could discuss the possibilities and find out some ways to make Express visually better. |
Allright. What if I submit a PR for a change of logo on the website as well? Would that make it easier to transition? What's holding you back? Do you have any feedback on my suggestion? You really should do at least something with the logo. When I first looked at the github readme the logo stood in a stark contrast to the sentence "we are perfectionists(...)". Sorry if I am being too direct. Just trying to be concrete and raise my opinion. Thanks. |
@hfossli I appreciate a lot you being "too direct". This is the way I prefer just because it's honest and productive. I am ok with changing the styling on the site as well. I suggest we better talk in Skype (or similar) and discuss the possibilities and you could better explain your vision. Join our Slack channel, so we could continue the discussion. |
This logo uses same font as express.js does. The gradient uses the same color scheme as the Swift logo does. Readme is tidied up a bit as well making this project more approachable.
