Walkthrough

The recent update to the workflow configuration involves a significant overhaul of the dependency checking process. It shifts the execution to a new workflow file from an external repository and updates the Java environment to version 21. Additionally, it incorporates new secrets for enhanced security and integration capabilities, specifically targeting the National Vulnerability Database API and Slack notifications.

Changes

File Path Change Summary
.github/workflows/dependency-check.yml Updated to use run-dependency-check.yml from skymatic/workflows, set up Java 21, added secrets for nvd-api-key and slack-webhook-url.

🐰✨
Changes afoot in the code, so neat,
With Java 21, we won't skip a beat.
Secrets kept, in whispers they say,
"A safer tomorrow starts today."

    • @coderabbitai show all the console.log statements in this repository.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit tests.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.

  • 13-13: Ensure the version v1 of the external workflow skymatic/workflows/.github/workflows/run-dependency-check.yml is the intended one and it aligns with the specific commit SHA mentioned in the PR objectives for reproducibility and clarity.
  • 15-17: Confirm that Java 21 is supported by the temurin distribution on macos-latest runner. This is crucial for ensuring compatibility and taking advantage of the latest Java features, performance enhancements, or security improvements.
  • 18-20: The introduction of nvd-api-key and slack-webhook-url secrets is a positive step towards enhancing security measures and integration with notification systems. Ensure these secrets are properly set up in the repository's secrets management and have the correct access permissions.
