Debugger never pauses in handleClick, only in handleClick2. The same is true for setTimeout handlers.

I'll take a look. I may add diagnostic output to the debugger that can be turned on with a runtime flag. Thanks for the test case.

The VM creates a second function object for closures. Thus, the same function gets compiled twice. The breakpoint gets set in the static function object, but then the closurized function gets executed and we don't hit the breakpoint.
