You need to make corrections to your Dart Editor instructions.

In your editor tutorial (http://www.dartlang.org/docs/getting-started/editor/index-win.html), the text includes the following instructions:

Step 3: Open a sample

The Dart Editor bundle comes with several samples. In this step, you'll open one and run it.

  1. Go to the File menu, and choose Open.... Or use the keyboard shortcut (Ctl+O or, on Mac, Option+O).
  2. Navigate to your Dart installation directory, then to samples, and then to sunflower. Double-click Sunflower.dart.

First of all, there is no File ->Open menu item. The only open on the menu opens folders, not files. When you start the editor thi open folder item does nothing.

Second: it appears that the only real thing you can do when you first sart the editor is to start some kind of Dart application (server or web).

Third: there is no instruction on how to use the actual menu items in this editor. There also appears to be no way to add an external file once an application is started. There probably is a way, but since you have incomplete and inaccurate instructions in your tutorial, there is no easy way to guss what that way is.

If you folks want this stuff to be taken seriously, you need to keep yur online information in step with the actual editor people will download.

NOTE: These comments are on your Versin 0.1.0.201203070827, Build 5104 which is supposed to be the stable version.

And give people the ability to do a copy ad paste off your About window! It is a royal PAIN to have to type in all those numbers from your version window -- and it is error prone to boot!

What OS are you using? I've recently updated the documentation, and it should be correct for Mac, but I haven't verified on Windows or Linux.

If you could check the doc again and let me know your OS, I'd appreciate it.

I just confirmed that it's Open Folder on linux (and presumably on Windows).
