GKE is able to support permissions via nested groups. However, when using dex with the google connector the only groups that appear are ones directly connected to a user.

We have inconsistent permissions using various tools. Those with dex do not work where as
kubectldoes.Describe the solution you'd like to see
I don't know a lot about the topic, but when I looked into it I think that the api for
admin.google.comdoesn't actually support nested groups, but I believe the GCP IAM API does. I'm not sure if this would mean a separate connector or one could be added to google.Describe alternatives you've considered
We're currently trying to resolve this with work arounds that will add people to the groups they already belong to via another group. It's not optimal, however.
