This seems to be a regression in rustc.
See rust-lang/rust#50825 for details.

Thanks, but this is a bug in Rust not a bug in Diesel. Please open an issue there

For anyone looking for a workaround, you should be able to compile with 2018-05-14 for now.

$ rustup toolchain install nightly-2018-05-14
