[mu4e bug] Extra subject lines #2477

Describe the bug
The subject line of the attached message spans multiple lines in the *mu4e-headers* view. Each time I view the message, an additional line is added to the *mu4e-headers* view.

How to Reproduce
Use the attached message.txt.

Environment
Linux, Emacs 28.2, mu git commit 1acf00b.

Checklist

  • you are running either an 1.8.x/1.10.x release or master (otherwise please upgrade)
  • you can reproduce the problem without 3rd party extensions (including Doom/Evil, various extensions etc.)
  • you have read all of the above

Thanks for your quick reaction. Unfortunately, that does not work for me, I still see:

This is in the headers view; there is no \n in the message view (but I see two spaces after : in the message view).

Ah, you do need to re-index your messages.
