@sevz17: There exists a branch and a patch that does this and more by @PalanixYT

It allows configuring x and y of outputs (like this PR) and also x-resolution, y-resolution, refresh rate, adaptive sync, and handles custom (non-standard on a given monitor) resolutions.

I merge this branch regularly and have used it daily for many months without any issues.
DOWNSIDE: @PalanixYT 's branch is net +59 lines; yours here is net +6 lines.

@fauxmight, sorry for the late reply; yes I'm aware of that patch, but my intention is not replace that patch just allow configure position just like the readme says
