env: Python 2.7: no such file or directory #1220
Comments
I am having this issue as well - were you able to get it resolved? |
I was able to get that resolved. I went into the bin folder and changed every dx file that had #!/usr/bin/env python2.7 at the top to #!/usr/bin/env python3. That seemed to work, and I was able to build my app. However,I now have UTF python encoding error when I try to run my app in DNAnexus. I don't know if changing the files may raise this error or if this is a separate issue.

I was able to get it resolved too and followed these instructions to build it from source (which included installing python 2.7): |
Thanks. Maybe I'll try that and I won't get the other error.

I was able to get it resolved too and followed these instructions to build it from source (which included installing python 2.7):

When I then ran $cd dx-toolkit && source environment, I was able to log in.

When building from source, did you get an error when trying to install gcc11?

When trying to source environment, I keep getting error msg env: python2.7: No such file or directory. I've installed dxpy using Python3 as instructed. Anyone else have trouble with this?
