Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When selecting an element (C, N, O, etc.), the tool becomes implicitly active, but there is no visual indication.

Describe the solution you'd like
The element button that is currently active should be highlighted as a selected element, so the user knows what kind of element will be created.
