We're going to reschedule the call I proposed for tomorrow after this meeting. I'd like to share a quick, high-level overview during the meeting.

Re: 5. Constantinople HF - possible hard-fork block numbers calculated based on the time now till 16th of January 2019, 12 pm UTC and:

  • 14.00 seconds block time 7089358
  • 14.61 seconds block time 7079018 (current block time)
  • 15.00 seconds block time 7072849

Half a second block time variance still gives us plus-minus two days, but that is acceptable in my opinion. If we agree on 7080042 for example, the hard-fork will happen between:

  • 11:56:04 pm UTC on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 14.00 seconds block time
  • 4:20:29 pm UTC on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 14.61 seconds block time
  • 6:08:48 pm UTC on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 15.00 seconds block time
  • 8:00:29 pm UTC on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 15.39 seconds block time

None of the predictions suggests that this could happen on a weekend unless the block time destabilises on the Ethereum network significantly.
