Feature Request

Description of Problem:

  • Existing FINOS maturity model (donated by Wipro) is not based on current knowledge / activities from BoK
  • It is separately deployed/versioned from the Body of Knowledge
  • It is a one-shot survey, you can't go back and amend results, and you need to cover all of the questions.
  • The IT supporting this is not very slick. User experience could be better.

Potential Solutions:

  • Adopt a checklist style approach to maturity.
  • Checklist on a per-activity basis, built into the body of knowledge.
  • Use cookies/local storage to avoid GDPR issues.
  • Provide a share button so people can share their results if they want
  • Provide a cool visualisation for each activity against each level of the BoK.

Comments from meeting yesterday:

  1. We are sidestepping data storage / GDPR issues by not storing any data. Everything is in-browser.
  2. However, as a next step, we need to provide the user a means of sharing their results. @psmulovics suggested client-side PDF generation.
