This repository contains code and data to enable combined analysis of the Drosophila Optic Lobe neurons annotated in the FAFB-FlyWire and Male CNS Optic Lobe datasets.
The most important output is this matching table summarising the cell type to cell type matches between the male and female datasets. This is organised using the Nern et al. cell types as a reference and identifying the corresponding Schlegel et al or Matsliah et al cell types. The great majority of these matches are 1-to-1 but some are more complex. For further details, please consult the methods of the Nern et al preprint.
As a convenience github allows you to query the matching spreadsheet and Neuroglancer scenes containing both datasets are available (sample), allowing direct comparison of matched neurons.
The repository contains the following main folders
- data Canonical data recommended for analysis
- extradata Additional files related to the above or captures from other sources for convenience.
Because annotations in both source datasets may still change and because our matching between the two datasets may still be refined, we will occasionally make substantive changes to this repository. Github's versioning means you can always go back to a previous tagged version or indeed any commit!
