Action Required

• [OPERATOR] The enableBasicAuthentication flag for the shoot's apiserver is not supported anymore for 1.19 shoots. It will still be set to true for shoots using kubernetes versions lower than 1.19. No action needs to be taken, unless you somehow rely on this flag being set for the shoots. (#322, @Diaphteiros)
• [OPERATOR] ⚠️ The coreos machine image has reached its EOL and will not be included in the cloudprofile anymore. It can still be added manually, if needed, either by editing the cloudprofile resource(s) in the cluster or by overwriting the default cloudprofile generation (see here for further information). • [OPERATOR] The vertical pod autoscaler is now required for seed clusters. While Gardener can add the VPA to shoot clusters automatically, there is currently no automation in place for the base cluster and non-shooted seed clusters.
