i think it's a bit too vague, as "source info" is ill-defined. Folks won't really know what's being stored in this cache. Instead of expanding this definition further, could you also add a glossary item that describes exactly what the cache, and (crucially) that results of computation on immutably-keyed inputs is cached permanently? To that end, we need a name for this thing. Given that we already have local cache, maybe "metadata cache"? |
