Here is the error message on executing the plan. Error: Error applying plan: 1 error(s) occurred: * azurerm_postgresql_server.dth-dev-postgresql: 1 error(s) occurred: * azurerm_postgresql_server.xxx-xxx-xxxxxxxx: Error waiting for creation of PostgreSQL Server "xxx-xxx-xxxxx" (Resource Group "xxx-xxxx"): Code="InvalidHardwareGeneration" Message="HardwareGeneration Gen4 is not valid. Please specify a valid HardwareGeneration value." Solution: Upon changing Gen4 to Gen5 plan got applied successfully. Environment used: Provider : azurerm Provider Version: 1.34.0

This has been released in version 1.35.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example: provider "azurerm" {
