extended version of lodash, with the following functionality (see tests for more examples)
npm i --save @symbolic/lodash
import _ from '@symbolic/lodash'
- create a new folder for the new function
- implement it following an existing pattern (including existing variable naming patterns)
- test it to 100% coverage with clean descriptions
- add it to index.js as an export in alpabetized order
- document it in README.md in alpabetized order with an explanation and example
- accepts an array, old index, and new index to move an item within an array
- useful for drag+drop reordering
_.arrayMove([1, 3, 2], 2, 1) -> [1, 2, 3]
- accepts a date as an argument and returns a label in a format according to the difference between the date and current time
_.labelForMoment(<today at 10 am>) -> '10:00 am'
_.labelForMoment(<yesterday at 10 am>) -> 'm/d 10:00 am'
_.labelForMoment(<lastYear at 10 pm>) -> 'm/d/yy 22:00 pm'
map 1 array to another
- uses _.find with a function, string paths, or pair of string paths as predicate
- filters out non-matches
_.findMap(projects, users, ['projectManagerId', 'id']) -> [userForProject1, userForProject2, ...];
return the median for a given array
- creates an object out of an array of keys with a function predicate to generate values
_.objectFromKeys(['a', 'b', 'c'], (key, index) => index + 2) -> {a: 2, b: 3, c: 4}
