What if we create a portable modular kit based on go-ipfs where everyone can create a fork and integrate easily without affecting the core? That way we would have custom user versions with different sets of services exposed and it will make the whole ecosystem more open and interoperable.

Hi @mar1n3r0 thank you for this proposal. While interesting, we will not fund the scope of work outlined here without the following additional information:

• the ecosystem need this work will meet.
• community traction: the user base that will be the key beneficiary of this solution.
• the key specification changes that will support the functionalities changes.
