My name is Joshua Darling πŸ‘‹

πŸš€ About Me

I'm a full-stack developer with a background in IT. I've spent the past 2 years providing software support to clients including responding to technical issues, onboarding new clients, and following bug fixes and new releases through the development cycle. This has given me an inside look at how users interact with software. It also allowed me to work with many intelligent and creative developers. I can blame them for giving me the programming itch! I love building beautiful, functional web apps emphasizing clean and well designed code. I'm a Colorado native and an outdoorsman at heart. After everything we have faced these past couple of years, I believe in building software that strives in making our everyday lives easier.

🌱 Learning

I'm currently taking a deep dive into Data Structures and Algorithms. I just Recently picked up a copy of Cracking the Coding Interview. Continuing to build a project in Java & Springboot.

πŸ” Upcoming Projects

Just wrapped up a full stack application that mimics a job board. I recently finished up the backend in Express and utilized TDD for developing the API endpoints and routes. All of the data is stored on a Postgres database. So far it has made for a smooth and straightforward development process with full test coverage. The front end is built with React! Speaking of React check out this cool game I built called lights out. Lights Out

DMPJ

Currenty working in a group called Denver Mock Programming Job Meetup to bring a full stack application to market. The goal of the DMPJ is to create opportunities and expectations for developers to create useful, professional, real-world code. Currently working on our first product will be a social network which makes it easier for people to connect with the people they wish they knew. Java, Typescript, Bitcoin's Lightning Network, Angular, MySQL, and Verified Credentials are a few of the technologies we will be using.
