This code

createBinding({
    name: "kendoNumericTextBox",
    defaultOption: VALUE,
    events: {
        change: VALUE
    },

must be changed to

createBinding({
    name: "kendoNumericTextBox",
    defaultOption: VALUE,
    events: {
        change: VALUE,
        spin: VALUE
    },

and it will work as expected.
