lakeCoSTR is a Python notebook for Google Colaboratory to facilitate the acquisition and aggregation of the Landsat Collection 2 surface temperature product for global lakes. lakeCoSTR also will pair user-provided in situ data with the Landsat record, providing a ground-truth dataset for users to assess the performance of the Landsat Collection 2 surface temperature estimates for their lake of interest.
Features of lakeCoSTR:
- lakeCoSTR aggregates the surface temperature estimates into summary values per Landsat scene and outputs those data in a single .csv file for the requested time of interest
- lakeCoSTR makes it easy to pair the Landsat surface temperature estimates with user-provided in situ temperature data
A user guide is available with resources for tool use. Data input and output examples are provided at the lakeCoSTR_examples repository.
Updates to v1.13:
- using latest JRC Global Surface Water version 4
- no longer throws an error when using a custom region of interest from a GEE asset (#3)
Updates to v1.12:
- masked cloud shadows in BQA masks
Updates to v1.11:
- removed LAKENAME _histogram.csv output, as it was redundant to all other data provided from tool.
