Similarity tree
Similarity Tree asks whether the languages that satisfy the constraints have similar or vastly different values on the properties that satisfy the constraints.
If similar then the connecting link between the two languages will be low in the tree.
Otherwise, the connecting link will be high in the tree.
Add some Language Contraints selecting from the Languages box Adyghe, =Hoan, Acehnese and Afrikaans.
Select the Similarity Tree radio button from the Advanced box and click Search
CONSTRAINTS:
- Only Languages: Adyghe, =Hoan, Acehnese and Afrikaans.
The result will be the following:
Of course you can, just add the properties from the Property box:
And do again the search!
There is an alternative - and more compact - version of the Similarity Tree result, that is the *Radial Tree version.
Select the Radial Tree radio button from the Advanced box and click Search

If you don't select any Property / Language / Property-Value the action performed by the search engine is to search without any constraint. Each Constraint box is independent from the next one: selecting only Property constraints, the engine will perform the search through all values for those Properties in all available Languages in the dataset.
There is a maximum number of languages that can be compared: this limit is of 6 languages per time. There are limits also on the size of searchable entries: in case your search will overpass the number of allowed by the search engine - usually on very huge datasets/groups - you will be redirected again to the Search Page with a notification on top page asking to add some constraint to the search.
Due to some technological limits, only the regular Similarity Tree can be downloaded as a PNG image, just click on the floating red button on the right of the page to get the PNG image. The Radial Tree is in the SVG format and to capture the image we suggest to get a screenshot of the page/screen.
