Show workspace on other display

Hi,

I'm looking into jay, trying to figure out if I can configure it the way I like it to.

The first thing I'm struggling with is managing workspaces on a dual-display setup: I'm unable to control an assignment from workspace to display. Is there a way to do that? I'm looking at enum ClientMessage, assuming it contains an exhaustive list of actions that the client can trigger, and I don't see anything there.

There is currently no way to open a new workspace on a display other than the current one nor a way to move workspaces to different displays.

Is that hard to implement, or of general interest at all? Happy to help, but would appreciate a pointer or two into what would need to happen (and where).

Opening a workspace on a specified output should be easy. Just follow the current code that creates a new workspace. At some point it derives the output from the current output. Then just add an optional parameter that specifies the output.

Moving a workspace would be more complicated. But there is already code that does this when an output is disconnected.
