We don't support these old Ember versions anymore, so we can drop this codepath now
It's no longer worth it for just two lines of code...

This PR addresses emberjs/ember.js#19429 and should hopefully fix #671.
In other words, this should fix the deprecation message that started popping up on Ember v3.27.
