Does the 256 color use the H98 8 plane mode? We don't support that so not surprising it looks bad. If it's using the 9821 8bit packed pixel mode then that's annoying because it's very simple and Windows 95 at least works perfectly with it. |

I'd say it's probably the 9821 mode. The H98 modes are listed separately and disabled by default:
