Chrome Historian

A tool for inspecting chrome histories. Designed for viewing the chrome history for multiple viewers as once.

Installing

Clone the repo and run either of the following commands:

pip install .
# Or
python setup.py install

Basic Usage

To inspect a user's history in the CLI you can run the following command:

chrome-historian -d ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/History inspect

You can also point historian to a directory containing multiple histories. It will treat the filenames of these histories as the username the history belongs to.

chrome-historian -d ~/histories -m merged.db inspect

Historian will merge the histories into a single database (specified by -m, defaults to a temporary file).

Web Interface

There is also a web interface that can display a graph of the user's browsing for any given url in the history.
