Consider reaching out to the author of The Wonderful Icon to purchase the codebase to open and extend it for modern Windows. It's not been updated since XP, but still does a lot, including some of the features in the various wishlists here.

Suggesting the specific features you'd like to see, upvoting or contributing to the ones that are already being discussed would be the way of contributing to the discussion.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I'll close this issue, since it's not within the scope of this project.

I have been doing that, indeed I provided several cross-references where this tool could address the features requested by others.

There is precedence for the proposal here i.e; sysinternals.
