1. Open a terminal to Ubuntu
2. run sudo apt update
3. After a moment I get this output:

Expected Behavior

I expect the process to update and proceed.

Actual Behavior

I get the above output in steps to reproduce. What's weird is that I can ping an address like google.com.

This started about 24 hours ago when I noticed when I do a git pull it would just hang, whereas it had been working all day long. I've restarted my machine, fully updated everything I can think of, and still the problem persists.

I've installed the Debian distro and I get the same exact problem with the apt update command.

I haven't tried some things I've seen online because they are from over a year ago and I have a more recent version than they did then.

UPDATE:
This happens for all new distribution installs. For instance, I get this same behavior on Ubuntu 22 (Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.15.90.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2 x86_64))
