[kemono] support for post versions #4498
Comments
Is it just me that's not seeing a dropdown menu for revisions on the second link? Looks like revisions have a unique number, maybe link that to a keyword like {revision}. |
And, of course, the API does not support it: |
It looks like they cleaned up redundant versions since the time of writing. And a new string for revised content sounds great specially for patreon where artists will sometimes edit artwork then upload under the same filename. |

I am currently grabbing each page's html, parsing the revisions, then grabbing older html data and am going to attempt to parse all the html into a json format identical to what gallery-dl produces. It's not ideal, but it will get the job done for what I need it to do for now. |
@marshmallowhell My PR only acts as an emergency commit to fix the extractor ASAP so I won't implement anything about revision. |
Well, at least there's hope now, which is something we didn't have 2 months ago. I can wait patiently for this. EDIT: Since the PR uses the new API and I already generated my own revision list, I can take the list of urls I created and use the current build to download the json metadata! |
Kemono recently allowed access to old post versions/revisions. An option or command to enable downloading of such posts would be nice.

It appears that versions 2 to 5 of the first post are identical. The files have different filenames (with each version) despite retaining the same hash, so I guess an archive is really needed here.
