An issue concerning the various details of https://www.artstation.com/.

Initial work has been done in 723cc66, which adds support for

• A user's artworks or projects (Artstation uses these two terms interchangeably)

This list is probably incomplete, but I'm not entirely sure what else there is. Please add any missing image-categories or URL schemes for the listed categories if you can.

Known issues

• The original images uploaded by artists are no longer accessible. You are only allowed to view and download a lower quality version.
  In the past you could replace the /large/ of any image URL with /original/ to request the original image, but that was disabled - apparently due to bandwidth issues.

• Artstation uses Cloudflare to distribute their images, which in turn uses "Polish" to reduce filesize without noticeably reducing image quality. This means they either strip metadata or even re-compress an image.
  Folks at Danbooru found out that you can still get the "unpolished" version by sending a randomized query parameter to cause a cache miss which has already been implemented.

Decided to test with a new account, only to discover this 🙄 :

Will see if that makes any difference. And also time to bring out my old account again (before this change), to test for differences, but I assume it will also have to be verified..

Based on my old observations, there are no other "categories", so I think your list above is actually pretty complete. I will report back here if I find anything to the contrary.

I think I faintly remember hearing about this a while ago. This was probably changed before the account verification requirement. But if this is an unconditional site-wide universal change, I guess there's nothing to be done here.

The artwork display (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/<id>) seems still exactly the same as in the past. The "Enlarge" and "Save to disk" buttons are still there, but they also use the URL with /large/

You can add Artworks / Projects to a Collection, this could be useful.
Will see how that turns out..

Another thing:

From Account Settings > General.

ArtStation has long list of categories, or "subject matters", but none of them called "Mature".

I haven't found anything so far... 😄
I think it's most likely something from Characters or Comic Art..

I've been looking around a bit more and finally found some users with more than the default "All Projects" Album or Collection, as you called it. 40ca562 adds an extractor to download these kind of things separately. Example URLs would be

And again, two ways to refer to (basically) the same resource ...
I've also added another extractor for search results, because that's apparently also a thing.
Challenges (or "contests") might be another thing to support.

Mature content doesn't require anything special, it seems. This user (https://www.artstation.com/leodaniel) features a bunch of artworkes rated as "Mature Content", but gallery-dl downloads them just fine.

Exactly, just wanted to add this here as well. Content considered mature is hidden behind a "warning" message that you have to confirm manually. All this account option above does is to hide these warnings by default, so this is only something cosmetic, and only relevant in the browser.
