For QA, this is an attempt to improve a crash we’ve been having related to favicons. Symptoms are that the app crashes when we open the app. I haven’t been able to reproduce it, but the changes in this task should have no impact (so favicons should load as they were before).

Marking as verified fix on 109 (25431). The favicons are correctly displayed and have proper functionality.
