Is it a bug?

  • I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.

I have checked if others have reported this already

  • I have checked the issue tracker to see if others have reported similar issues.

Current Behavior

If IPv6 is enabled along with split tunneling for the Steam app, Remote Play connections time out.

Expected Behavior

Steam Remote Play should work when IPv6 is enabled and Steam is in the split tunneling list.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enable IPv6
  2. Enable split tunneling
  3. Add Steam to split tunneling list
  4. Use a different computer to connect via Steam Remote Play; the connection times out

Notes:

  • Split tunneling enabled + IPv6 enabled = Remote Play times out ❌
  • Split tunneling enabled + IPv6 disabled = Remote Play works ✅
  • Split tunneling disabled + IPv6 enabled = Remote Play works ✅
