Add links and info about Namecoin Core #229
base: namecoinq
Are you sure you want to change the base?
Conversation
Added link to Namecore, as I ran into some advanced users on IRC that didn't know that it existed and we still have ~25% of miners running the old version. Not sure if this should be a deprecation notice....

Miners and users of namecoind should switch to [Namecore](github.com/namecoin/namecore), a reimplementation of the Namecoin proptocol that maintains parity with Bitcoin. |

Use the name "Namecoin Core", not "Namecore". "protocol" is misspelled.

Mention that this only applies to users who can build from source. Also mention that this only applies to users who do not use Namecoin-Qt (i.e. it doesn't apply to users who use both namecoind and Namecoin-Qt).
Users should not generally switch atm as there is no GUI |
@phelixbtc I already pointed that out (and agree), see #229 (comment) |
