Because not everyone keeps track of TSC process stuff closely (nor should they), here's what typically happens next: We invite nominees as a guest for 3 meetings (used to be 4 but it was agreed at some point that that seemed like too many) before moving to a vote. Obviously, it can be longer or shorter for specific cases, but that's what we've been doing. One thing that sometimes gets confusing is that it is totally expected that the nominee participate in the meeting. They can't vote on things as a nominee, but they can participate in discussions. Because we sometimes call them "observers" rather than "guests" or whatever, people can get the wrong idea about that. So, Gireesh, please feel free to participate in conversations during meetings and in the TSC repo! |
