update installs, but fails to immediately refresh (on ios only)

Problem

On android everything works perfectly , update is downloaded,installed and app is refreshed with new code

on ios the update is downloaded, installed , but the app refersh fails (manually closing and opening the app shows the new update)

events i get in order:
1 . "chcp_beforeInstall"
2. "chcp_updateInstalled"
3. an error:
"Failed to load resource: The operation couldn't be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 1.)"

how can i investigate this further? , any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

System info

• Platform: iOS / Android
• Platform version:4.5.0
• Cordova version: 7.0.1
• Node version: v6.9.5

i am using cordova wkwebview if its relevant.

Omitting commit c6d1e6f seems to fix this issue for some reason.

Can confirm. Broken on iOS.

@vouillon I cloned and did a git revert on that commit but just get unhandled Promise rejections when I try to cordova run ios.
