Design Intent

The Venue page presents some very minimal information about a Venue; and allows a Player to edit those details.

There are a number of strategies in place to coordinate this community maintained list of Venues.

The information required for a Venue is minimal. Enough to uniqely identify the Venue, and to provide time critical navigation assistance to a Player enrout to the venue.
There is an important link to the Venues native homepage; which holds to authorative current detailed information.
There are only 4 required fields which for the VID (Name | Locality | Region | CountryCode).
Where possible, each Venue is locked in to a Google PlaceID, which is an global authoritive unique identifier. (see LocatePage)
Each edit on the Venue information creates a Revert button, which enables erroneous information to be undone by any Player with minimal effort. These revert buttons strike an important balance such that it required less effort to undo vandalised information that it does to vandalize it in the first place.
Each edit on the Venue information will send an alert to all (consenting) Players have the Venue as a Favorite. It is these Players who have a special interest in the correctness of the Venue record - an who with take a couple of moments to revert a bad edit.
