If the above does not help, check if you are using Anaconda. Old Anaconda versions have a bug which causes the error, see [this issue](https://github.com/skvark/opencv-python/issues/36) for a manual fix.

On all Windows Server versions, need enable "Desktop Experience" featuer under "User Interfaces and Infrastructure" in Add roles and features. Because mfplat.dll was missing which is related to Window Media Service.


**Q: I have some other import errors?**

A: Make sure you have removed old manual installations of OpenCV Python bindings (cv2.so or cv2.pyd in site-packages).
