I noticed the presidential election results didn't match up with the state results so I went through the results and checked trump's and biden's (the two candidates whose results didn't match) precincts manually. Putnam election results website: https://putnamboe.com/election-results/ After going through, the results are still off from the state results. Biden has 29,955 votes, but on the state results he has 24,953. However, on the county results document, Biden does have 29,953. I'm not sure why there's a difference between the state and county results. This should be checked out. I checked each precinct manually, and only for Biden and Trump. The other candidates have accurate vote counts but I didn't verify them. I also didn't verify the other elections. They should also be checked out.

@saewitz thanks for doing this - Putnam is one among several counties that have updated its results since we did our conversion, and we're planning to do an update of all of those counties. In addition, the state results often have been different from county results in ways that makes it clear the state number, not the county number, is incorrect. |
