CoreDeveloper is used to grant access to the Staff Area

Many of those assigned the role are not developers but other Bennett Institute staff.

Should this role be renamed to reflect this, e.g. BennettStaff or just Staff?

  • Decide on a new name, with NOD's input
  • Update codebase
  • Speak to NOD and IG, and others, so they update their documentation and processes.

I've let NOD know that we're going to do this. They didn't respond, so I'm going to say that it's fine for us to go ahead.

For reference, there are some slack discussions here and here.

Update: in the slack discussions we concluded that Staff Area Administrator would be a good name for the role.

@Jongmassey or @lucyb, just to highlight that this issue has been closed (possibly automatically) but there's still one more thing to do...

Speak to NOD and IG, and others, so they update their documentation and processes.
