Placeholder for version 2.0 work. These are planned works:

and accepting connection name as a parameter. (Stop supporting Connection.open/3 #181)Big internal changes with the introduction of SelectiveConsumer which will benefit on stability and performance. I will write up more detailed release notes but the changes are mostly internal or additional. It will work out of box for most 1.x users so give it a try.
