Distribution should include setup_requires details in metadata #239
Comments
Original comment by dzen (Bitbucket: dzen, GitHub: dzen): The need here is larger than just storing the setup_requires, and It's linked to the pep 426. People packaging python module on debian, or gentoo, or whatever would like to get a lots of informations from the python's package as the short|long description, etc , to get it a little bit automatised. It's a hard work, and providing those kind of solution may help people doing some "devops" to automatize packaging. Thanks for taking care of this. |
