Should be merged only after the Experiment class code is merged!
contains code from the experiment class PR, which should not be reviewed in this PR (will pull from master after Experiment class code is merged, and resolve conflicts). only code relevant to QV should be reviewed in this PR.
the usage of the generator is a little bit different - should call new function of the experiment class - 'add_data' before execute. should enable adding data also after executing without creating all the data from scratch (additional documentation will be added)
