Actor control lines are for several miscellaneous zone commands:
To control aspects of the user interface, the game sends packets called Actor Controls. These are broken into 3 types: ActorControl, ActorControlSelf, and ActorControlTarget. If ActorControl is global, then ActorControlSelf / ActorControlTarget affects individual actor(s).

* changing the music
* resetting an entire zone after a wipe
* limit gauge for bosses
* updates on time remaining (periodically, and after a clear)
Actor control commands are identified by a category, with parameters passed to it as a handler. DirectorUpdate is a category of ActorControlSelf and is used to control the events inside content for an individual player:

* BGM change
* some cutscenes
* barrier up/down
* fade in/out
