Issue

Command:
remotes::system_requirements("ubuntu", "20.04", package = "plotly")

Output:
Error: JSON: EXPECTED value GOT <

Yesterday, this was working as expected but today I am getting this error. Does it have something to do with the partial repository outage yesterday evening? (https://status.posit.co/)

Expected output

Returning Ubuntu 20.04 system requirements for plotly package.

Workaround: set the RSPM_ROOT env var to https://packagemanager.posit.co.
