How to prevent default keyboard navigation when input is focused?

If I want to render a custom Search input (or any other input) inside of a Dropdown Menu / Context Menu / Select / Menubar, is it possible to prevent default keyboard navigation behaviour when user types something inside of the input?

Right now, when you try to type something in the input, the keyboard navigation jumps in and moves your focus away from the input.

Doing e.preventDefault() + e.stopPropagation() doesn't seem to help.

Ah, looks like adding

onKeyDown={(e) => e.stopPropagation()}
onKeyDownCapture={(e) => e.stopPropagation()}

fixes the problem
