[Feature Request] Extracting Citekey on [selected] item #2983
Comments
🤖 this is your friendly neighborhood build bot announcing test build 6.7.229.6972 ("fixes #2983") This update may name other issues, but the build just dropped here is for you; it just means problems already fixed in other issues have been folded into the work we are doing here. Install in Zotero by downloading test build 6.7.229.6972, opening the Zotero "Tools" menu, selecting "Add-ons", open the gear menu in the top right, and select "Install Add-on From File...". |
That's really cool, thank you! One last thing: Is it possible to modify it so it gets the citekey of the item where the PDF is currently open, i.e. the document I'm currently reading? Since I'm using this to copy text from the PDF that would be ideal. Thanks!! |
Hi, just wanted to ask if this was possible? Not a rush :) |

What happened?
As discussed here: #2978
I'd love a way to extract the Citekey so I can use it to copy quotes from Zotero to Obsidian, though I imagine the functionality could be useful for others and other workflows as well.
Thanks so much :)
