Those techniques are simple and powerful, which can be easily applied to your daily job. This book also emphasizes the idea of keeping the refactor small, testing all the time, and working software over beautiful code.
For advance developers, this book may fortify their understanding and ability of refactoring by offering some great insight about the technique.
I recommend that anyone who read this book should finish chapter 1 & chapter 13, which are two great chapter about the essence of refactoring.
