In the documentation (http://jmsyst.com/bundles/JMSSerializerBundle/master/configuration)

The datetime format used here is inconsistent with the comment

format: "Y-m-dTH:i:s" # ISO8601

is incorrect, it should be

format: "c" # ISO8601

This format plays nicer if you serialize datetimes and need to use that value as a constructor in Javascript Date() object;
