Improve "Delete link" phrasing #87
base: master
Are you sure you want to change the base?
Conversation
I haven't ever had confusion with what "delete link" does, but maybe it could be more clear.
How about "Delete paste" or "Remove paste"? |
Sure, I'm easy-going, so whatever you think best I considered "paste", but thought it might be needlessly confusing for non-native-English speakers (verb + verb) EDIT: My understanding of UX practices is that "remove" is the word preferred when the underlying data is not affected (ie. cosmetic changes), and "delete" is preferred when it is (ie. permanent changes) |
I see. It's probably best to just wait for @sebsauvage . |
No commit for 2 years. Better face the facts : this project is dead, sebsauvage won't merge all this pulls requests, ever. |
I'd love to disagree, but unfortunately at least for now this is true... |
Time for a full-on community fork? ;) |
@equinox that's a good idea, as done for Shaarli ;) |
Ok, lets do it! I finally updated my fork to be compatible with the 0.19 release of Seb and created some documentation at https://github.com/elrido/ZeroBin/wiki/Development. I'll be taking your issues, ideas and pull requests over in my repo. |
@elrido, it could be a great idea to merge the big PR #63 made by @ulikoehler into your fork, so we can all start contributing on a clean and configurable zerobin. (I'd like to take the PR concerning the password protection of pastes, which I previously used with slight modifitications, and consider merging it into your repo) |

My assumption would be that "delete link" hid the link from my screen, not that it removed the pastebin. I was a little confused when I clicked that on my first try, and my new paste was unreachable.
Perhaps "Delete data"?
